AP CM YS Jagan’s Delhi tours have become a talking point in political circles. Jagan recently visited Delhi on March 16 and 17. He is now all set to fly to Delhi once again. Jagan is expected to meet PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. Now, these frequent visits to Delhi are adding fuel to several ongoing speculations. While a section of the opposition are propagating this linking to the CBI investigation in YS Viveka’s case, another section are linking this to upcoming general elections and YSRCP wants to go for early polls.
Some YSRCP leaders claimed the purpose of AP CM’s Delhi visit was for unfulfilled promises of the Centre including Polavaram Irrigation Project and AP Special Category Status and other benefits, SOPs to the state. However, so far, there is no official communication from AP CM office or the Centre on CM Jagan’s purpose of frequent visits to Delhi.
Meanwhile, opposition TDP leaders have started attacking Jagan and YSRCP linking to CBI’s investigation and reported arrest of Kadapa MP and CM Jagan’s cousin Avinash Reddy and his father YS Bhaskar Reddy. Avinash Reddy has applied for anticipatory bail in the view of reports of his arrest in connection to YS Viveka’s murder case. TDP leaders are accusing Jagan of trying to bail out Avinash Reddy in the whole issue. TDP leaders are alleging that there is no further progress in Viveka’s murder and Avinash Reddy was already questioned four times in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, Viveka’s daughter Sunitha has moved the Supreme Court and the apex court is also serious over the delay in the CBI’s investigation. The court asked the investigation agency to replace the investigation officer. On the whole, all eyes are on Jagan’s fresh visit to Delhi.
