Senior MLA and former minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy lamented that human values were completely eroding in politics. He said that the YCP levelled baseless allegations against him of resorting to cross-voting accepting bribe in large amounts and then suspended him. The YCP had done this intentionally without any confirmation of me doing any wrong, he said.
In an interview, the suspended YCP MLA revealed that the TDP manifesto was written by the current YCP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Sajjala is a journalist by profession. In the past, he worked in Eenadu and with the close relations the TDP has with the Eenadu Group head Ramoji Rao, Sajjala was picked to work on the TDP’s manifesto, when former CM late YSR was alive. Later, he moved to Sakshi Group and eventually got elevated as the government advisor.
Indirectly, the suspended MLA tried to point out that can Sajjala be trusted in the wake of his role in the TDP. Now, he is the loyal lieutenant of YCP boss and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and is dancing to his tunes but there are chances of levelling allegations against him too, if ousted out of the party.
The YCP government ousted me just because I differed with the policies and questioned it over completion of some irrigation projects in my constituency, he said.
Ethical values are getting degraded in politics and the bosses of regional parties are acting as monarchs. Power is centralized as they take all the decisions without any consultations. The court has asked the YCP government to define the role of the numerous advisors appointed by it. This reveals the dubious grounds on which they were taken into the government, Reddy said.
