Chair Reserved for KCR next to PM Modi!

Published by

A couple of minutes back Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Hyderabad’s Begumpet airport. On behalf of the Telangana government, minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav welcomed PM Modi but it was Telangana CM KCR who was supposed to do the honours following the due protocol.

PM Modi will be laying the foundation for redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway station. Accordingly, massive arrangements were made at Parade Grounds for a public meeting. Since this is not a political event, the Telangana BJP leaders will not share the stage with PM Modi. Being a government sponsored program, seating arrangements were made for high dignitaries such as the PM, Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Local MP and others.

Though the PMO has knowledge that Telangana CM KCR will be skipping the event, they have reserved a chair for the CM KCR next to the Prime Minister on the stage. Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy has also been allotted a chair and he will be attending the meeting.

As per the protocol, before the Prime Minister arrives on the stage, other dignitaries should occupy their respective reserved chairs five minutes early. After the PM’s arrival, if the chair is still empty, it will be removed from the stage.

Political analysts opine that KCR has lost an opportunity to place his demands before PM Modi. “West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin have perfectly utilized their chances when it comes to placing their rightful demands that their respective states should get from the Centre but KCR is in no hope that PM Modi or the NDA government will grant anything for Telangana,” said the analysts.
