The Supreme Court of India has given a setback to Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy. The MP who is facing charges in the brutal murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy received anticipatory bail from Telangana High Court. On this Viveka’s daughter Dr. Sunitha Reddy approached the Supreme Court.
This petition had arguments post lunch and the Supreme Court has set aside the interim orders of the Telangana High Court on bail petition. But the advocates of Avinash Reddy requested the Supreme Court to give orders to CBI to not arrest the Kadapa MP. Declining this, the Supreme Court made interesting comments.
“Are you predicting that the CBI would arrest Avinash Reddy? The CBI is probing the case with steady progress and if it wanted to arrest Avinash, it would have happened long back,” said the Supreme Court.
With the Supreme Court’s fresh orders, there is a huge anticipation on CBI’s next step. If the probe agency calls Avinash Reddy for interrogation again, there are high chances of arresting him.
Also there are reports that the deadline of April 30th has been extended but there lacks full clarity.
