Raja Singh To Join Telangana TDP?

Published by

Ghoshamahal MLA Raja Singh who is upset with the Telangana BJP leadership is likely to join the Telugu Desam. Going into details, Raja Singh is a hardcore Hindu and against a stand-up comedy show, he posted a video on YouTube that contained derogatory remarks against the Prophet.

The BJP suspended Raja Singh for his remarks and it’s been more than six months now. Somewhere Raja Singh was hopeful that the BJP leadership will lift the ban against him but that did not happen. Simultaneously he was having differences with T-BJP leadership and with Bandi Sanjay. Upset with all these, Raja Singh has decided to change the party.

Accordingly Raja Singh looked at Telugu Desam which gave him the political opportunity during his initial days. From 2009 to 2014, Raja Singh was TDP’s corporator and in 2014, he joined the BJP and won as MLA for the first time. In 2018, he was the only MLA from the BJP to represent the Telangana Assembly.

Coming to switching loyals, a couple of days back, Raja Singh reportedly met Telangana TDP chief Kasani Gnaneshwar and discussed the prospects. The Ghoshamahal MLA is said to have asked for his constituency ticket as he wants to score a hat-trick. Besides this Raja Singh assured that he would take the responsibility of TDP’s victory in at least three Assembly constituencies.

A key leader is said to have negotiated the talks and if things fall in place, Raja Singh might join TDP next week. If Raja Singh quits the BJP, it is a huge blow for the party.
