Former minister and YSRCP Ongole MLA Balineni Srinivasa Reddy has broke down into tears in a press meet where he briefed about the all-round attack on him and his son by same party leaders. Without directly naming anyone, Balineni said he is wantedly being targeted by YCP leaders for political gain.
Emotional Balineni said baseless allegations and rumours are being spread to tarnish his image. He alleged that MLAs whom he had got tickets are complaining to the party leadership at the behest of his opponents. Balineni said it is not his mentality to complain against anyone to the party’s leadership even though he has good rapport. He said he had not made single complaint against anyone in the party to CM Jagan till date and said it is his way of dealing things.
Balineni along with his son Praneeth Reddy addressed the media. While Balineni got emotional, his son tried to control him. Balineni rued that some leaders have targeted him and demeaning him in social media platforms. He said these leaders are resorting to anti-party activities. He said there is no truth in rumours of him leaving YSRCP. Balineni said he has been a trusted loyalist to CM Jagan and YSRCP. He recalled that late YS Rajasekhar Reddy had given him political career and he would never forget that in his lifetime.
Balineni said some people in Visakhapatnam are levelling criticism against him as well. He said there is no truth in allegations of land grabbing and Hawala money transactions against him and his son.
A trusted loyalist to YS family, Balineni said he could not bear these allegations and attacks which are attempted to assassinate his character. He called it a political conspiracy against him. At one point Balineni said he would leave the politics. He however said he would never leave the hands of his party workers and followers.
Balineni said the party should take action against those behind these political conspiracy. Balineni took a strong objection to the comments made by Gone Prakasha Rao in Tirupati. He condemned Gone’s comments and said he is from Telangana and nothing to do with Andhra Pradesh politics.
