Praja Shanthi Party chief KA Paul has taken the credit for BJP’s defeat in the Karnataka Assembly elections. A video of Paul’s reaction was released to the media and Paul said he worked against the BJP in Karnataka.
“Ex–BJP MP Sangliana joined Praja Shanthi party and he is the party’s chief in Karnataka. Along with him, we have campaigned against the BJP from January to April. We formed 53,000 associations and have asked all of them to support Congress and vote for the same party. Finally BJP has been defeated and saved Karnataka state,” said KA Paul.
Well Paul’s statements also come up with a twist. Since he supported Congress in Karnataka, he urged Telangana Congress leaders to support him in Telangana to defeat BRS and BJP. “Congress is not that strong in Telangana and everyone is looking at the Praja Shanthi party. I appeal to Telangana Congress leaders to support the Praja Shanthi party because out of every 10 people, 5 to 6 want Praja Shanthi party as their next government in Telangana. Instead of splitting the votes in the elections, it’s better to support me,” said Paul.
