Jagan For Avinash – Naidu For Ramoji?

Published by

Last week AP CM Jagan toured Delhi for the new Parliament inauguration. Nevertheless, Jagan had other agenda in this tour and he met BJP biggies. TDP claims that Jagan met BJP leaders only to discuss the case of Viveka’s murder and to save Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy who is facing primary charges. After the Delhi tour, Avinash Reddy received a huge relief from the Telangana High Court by issuing anticipatory bail.

During the weekend TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and held talks. Though the details of this meeting were not revealed to the media, assumptions are that TDP and BJP are likely to reunite ahead of the general elections 2024. But AP BJP leaders deny such reports and added that Naidu met Shah in his personal capacity.

The YCP is countering this meeting and added that Naidu met Shah for two reasons and they are for protecting Eenadu groups chairman Ramoji Rao who has been Naidu’s pillar for support from the mid 1990s and seeking protection from probe agencies that are investigating skill development and other scams.

YCP claims that BJP is not ready to believe Naidu considering the past experiences and wants to be in a wait and watch mode in the 2024 general elections. According to YCP, BJP is of the opinion that by 2029, TDP will completely vanish in AP and then the saffron party wants to emerge as an alternative of YCP.

Overall YCP and TDP are at war over the Delhi tours of their party chiefs and both parties have their own understanding but they are missing a key point that the BJP is playing strategic spectator role and will take advantage of any party that gains upper hand in the polls.
