Minister Botsa Satyanarayana alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the YCP government only to gain political mileage. He repeated the statements made by the TDP leaders and the yellow media, he said.
“It is because he could not digest the fact that Andhra Pradesh is progressing that he made such disparaging remarks against the government,” he said.
Just because the elections are approaching and the YCP government has earned good reputation among the people, Amit Shah launched the diatribe.
Botsa fumed at Shah for claiming that the BJP government had liberally made many sanctions to AP. “Everything was given to the state along with others but not exclusively. Granting two Vande Bharat trains is not a great thing. We are paying taxes in the form of GST and others and it is the duty of the Centre to give back that money in the form of development works.”
Leaders coming from the Centre should speak with some vision but there was nothing like that in Amit Shah’s speech. He is worried that AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is becoming a big figure in the country by implementing welfare schemes and ensuring development, Botsa alleged.
Further, the minister said that Jagan-led YCP government would continue to fight for special status to the state, stalling privatization of VSP and more funds for the Polavaram project. He slammed the Centre for giving funds just as one gives alms to beggars.
