In Andhra Pradesh, the election mood is prevailing in all the major political parties. While Telugu Desam and Jana Sena are most likely to join forces, the ruling YSRCP will once again go solo and the BJP is still undecided on how to proceed. But there is a sense of tense mood in YSRCP camp with TDP and Jana Sena coming together.
Despite this little scare, YCP is super confident that it will retain power in 2024 and the party is optimistic that it doesn’t need allies in the elections. YCP’s mouthpiece Vijayasai Reddy has confirmed that their party will do a lone battle next year and came up with logic that oppositions are equivalent to zero in AP.
“We do not need alliances, the @YSRCParty has worked hard for the people and we are confident that the people will bless us again. Also, it does not matter if the opposition comes together in AP because always remember that zero + zero equals zero!!,” tweeted the Rajya Sabha MP.
Though Vijayasai Reddy did not mention the names of major political parties in this tweet, it was meant at TDP, Jana Sena and also the BJP. He indirectly stated that YCP would have zero impact on the TDP and Jana Sena alliance.
Will this be just confidence or overconfidence? We shall wait till 2024.
