Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao share friendly relations with each other. Except water sharing issues, both the CMs try to adjust with each other. Though, they appear to be reserved at the outside, both of them nurture amicable relationship with each other behind the doors. However, the citizens of both the states know that KCR and Jagan are on friendly terms and it was for the same reason that KCR indirectly helped Jagan in the 2019 elections.
Now, KCR needs Jagan’s help and vice-versa. There is buzz in Telangana political circles that the duo is getting ready to help each other for the upcoming elections. According to sources, Jagan’s sister Sharmila had agreed to merge the YSRTP with the Congress and asked for the deputy CM post in return.
If this happens, KCR’s dream to hit a hat-trick will be in jeopardy. On one hand, it is giving sleepless nights to KCR and on the other, even Jagan’s government will also be impacted if the Congress comes to power in Telangana. This political development will give the much-needed strength to the Congress to think of gaining ground in Andhra Pradesh. It might also disturb the YCP vote bank.
In such a situation, there is talk that Jagan had already got in touch with the Reddy community and industrialists in Telangana and requested them to support the KCR government this time too. It is also learnt that even KCR asked Jagan to look into the issue. At the same time, KCR is also learnt to have promised to do whatever he could to bring Jagan to power.
