Pawan Yatra: Posani Raises Kamma-Kapu Equation

YCP leader and Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation chairman Posani Murali Krishna threw down the gauntlet at Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan to prove that Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham was corrupt, either in his political career or in the Kapu movement. If you can do that, I will leave this state, he said.

“Then you approach Mudragada and apologise to him. Immediately, your life will start showing an upward graph.”

Addressing mediapersons, Posani showered praises on Mudragada and termed him ‘a legend’ as he had made several sacrifices for the sake of Kapus. “I know Mudragada since 1980s. TDP founder and former CM N.T. Rama Rao tried to interfere into the affairs of the ministry Mudragada was holding in the government at that time. Mudragada said that he does not like interference into the department even if he was the chief minister but when NTR insisted that he wanted to know the details of his ministry, Mudragada immediately tendered his resignation and reached his native place, Kirlampudi.”

“But the Chandrababu Naidu which you (Pawan Kalyan) are admiring, had backstabbed NTR and even usurped the CM seat from him.”

Posani urged the Kapu community members to decide who was great among the duo – Mudragada or Chandrababu Naidu whom Pawan was promoting.

He lamented that Pawan was caught in Chandrababu Naidu’s trap. “Pawan is an educated youngster from the Kapu community. Fortunately, he has the charisma to attract crowds but standing amidst them, he is abusing the same Kapus. This is pathetic,” Posani said.

“Pawan is acting on the directions of Naidu and dividing the Kapus. If this continues, when will you be able to secure reservation for your community and when will a Kapu leader become the CM,” he asked.

Targeting Chandrababu Naidu, Posani said that he had bought all the MLAs in the NTR camp, pulled off 23 MLAs from Jagan and tried to buy even MLAs from the KCR camp but was booked in the note-for-vote scam. Do you still want to promote Naidu, who has a dark history, he asked.

Claiming that TDP leader Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga was his mentor, Posani alleged that Naidu got him killed in a conspiracy. Will you support such a leader?

At the same time, Posani praised Pawan’s brother and thespian Chiranjeevi for not joining hands with Naidu, when he launched the Praja Rajyam Party even when Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao suggested.

“Keeping that in mind, Naidu told the Kamma voters not to vote for Chiranjeevi. Except Kapu votes, no Kamma should vote for Chiranjeevi. Kapus are rowdies and will not allow Kammas to survive. These were the words used by Naidu at that time. You can check the video clippings if you want to.” Posani said.

I contested as an MLA at that time and on hearing these words from a woman, I did not know how to respond, the YCP leader said.

The YCP is putting in all efforts to ensure that Pawan does not support Naidu as it feels threatened if JSP and TDP forge an alliance.
