Political dynamics are fast changing in Telangana and they are especially in favour of Telangana Congress. After the induction of ex-MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and former minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, Telangana Congress hosted a massive public gathering in Khammam and it was a huge success. With the same intensity the T-Congress is doing the ‘Operation Akarsh’ and is eyeing leaders who are upset in BRS and the BJP.
In that line ex-MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy met BJP leader, ex-MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy this afternoon. Apparently Rajgopal Reddy is not happy with the Telangana BJP leadership and he anticipated some major changes in the party functioning. Earlier in the day the national leadership of BJP announced a new chief for T-BJP and it was not something Rajgopal expected.
Also Rajgopal isn’t gelling with T-BJP leaders and there has been a campaign for the last couple of months that he might return to his home party, T-Congress. Strengthening the rumours Ponguleti meeting Rajgopal has grabbed the headlines. From highly placed sources Ponguleti invited Rajgopal to return to Congress and assured that he would have a better place with responsibilities in the party. Ponguleti also mentioned T-PCC chief Revanth Reddy’s invitation to leaders who have left the T-Congress after the 2018 elections.
Some media reports suggest that MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is behind this meeting but they are not conclusive. With this proposal, Rajgopal Reddy is in serious contemplation to quit the BJP. Nonetheless, if Rajgopal Reddy returns to Congress, it is a huge advantage and big setback for the BJP.
