Union minister Kishan Reddy who was appointed as Telangana BJP chief on Tuesday, has reportedly resigned to the position even before taking charge. This morning the Union cabinet met at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence but Kishan Reddy skipped the meeting and his absence has called for a lot of speculation.
The Telugu media is widely speculating that Kishan Reddy is not happy with the latest appointment. The reason being PM Modi is deliberating a cabinet reshuffle and some of them might be shown the exit doors and some fresh faces might be inducted in the central cabinet. But it is unclear whether Kishan Reddy will be forced to resign to his central cabinet position and his closed source says that he is not willing to step down.
By staying away from the cabinet meeting, Kishan Reddy has sent out a clear message to the BJP high command. Also Kishan Reddy has not revealed his future plans and this has brought a worry in the T-BJP camp. Some suggest that the BJP high command will pacify Kishan Reddy irrespective of his plans and he might either continue as both Union Minister and T-BJP chief or just as T-BJP chief.
