In the beginning of this week, the Maharashtra politics took a drastic turn with Ajit Pawar joining Chief Minister Eknath Shinde government. Ajit Pawar took oath as deputy Chief Minister and he went on to split the Nationalistic Congress party led by veteran Sharad Pawar. This also brought conflict in the Pawar family.
The NCP has written to Maharashtra Assembly speaker demanding immediate disqualification of Ajit Pawar and 29 MLAs who walked with him and are also weighing legal action against the rebel group. There is a dialogue going on between pro-Sharad Pawar group and Ajit Pawar.
Amidst this verbal spat, the student wing of NCP has put up a poster comparing the betrayal of Ajit Pawar to Baahubali movie’s Kattappa backstabbing Baahubali episode. The student wing of NCP called Ajit Pawar, a gaddar (traitor) for deceiving the party’s line and also party founder Sharad Pawar.
This poster was erected at NCP’s office in New Delhi and is grabbing a lot of attention from onlookers. In recent times, political parties are taking a lot of references from movies to target their opponents and this poster falls in the same trend.
Apparently Ajit Pawar was unhappy with NCP’s internal matters. Party chief Sharad Pawar appointed his daughter and MP Supriya Sule as the working president of the party and this did not go down well with Ajit Pawar.
