Brother-Sister Bonding Cutting Across Politics & States

TDP president and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wished Mulugu Congress MLA Seethakkaon the occasion of her birthday on Sunday. Taking to Twitter, Naidu wished his sister that she leads a fulfilled life with the blessings of the people.

Seethakka quit the TDP and joined the Congress, yet Naidu wished her on her birthday. She is a politician belonging to Telangana, where the TDP has been pushed to obscurity. However, Naidu remembered the former woman leader of his party. This is not the first time, Naidu wishes, he personally attended the family events of Seethakka many times in the past.

This shows that Naidu and Seethakka share the brother-sister bonding, which goes beyond states and politics. Born into a koya tribe, Danasari Anasuya, aka Seethakka, took up the gun and joined the Maoists at a tender age of 14 years.

However, disillusioned by the Maoist policies, she joined the TDP and became an MLA from Mulugu in the united Andhra Pradesh in 2009. In 2017, she quit the TDP and joined the Congress and became the All India Mahila Congress general secretary. Later, she also became the state in-charge of Chhattisgarh Mahila Congress in 2019.

She also pursued academics and became a lawyer and later she even completed her Ph.D. in political sciences from the Osmania University.

Known as a people’s leader, her services to the poor and needy during the Covid lockdown are remembered even today. These efforts of Seethakka won people’s applause on social media. Seethakka – Naidu boding shown as a lesson to current day politics.
