It’s no secret that there are many aspirants for Chief Minister’s role in Telangana Congress party. From senior leaders like Jana Reddy to Bhatti Vikramarka, many want to be the CM of Telangana but it’s not that easy to sustain in that chair because of Congress party’s internal conflicts.
Amidst this Telangana PCC chief Revanth Reddy has announced Congress party CM candidate’s name and it is Mulugu MLA Seethakka. Revanth shares a sisterly bond with Seethakka and both unconditionally support each other through thick and thin. But the main reason behind Revanth picking Seethakka’s name is that she hails from a tribal community.
Revanth announced Seethakka’s name at the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) event in the United States. He interacted with NRIs and shared his thoughts on Congress party’s prospects for 2023 Assembly elections.
“I urge you all to give a chance to the Congress party. Seethakka will be our CM candidate and only Congress party can make a Dalit occupy the CM chair. Kharge has been in politics for six decades and now he is Congress party President,” stated Revanth.
Revanth’s announcement has initiated a debate in Telangana Congress. Some were okay with this announcement because it would create a positive image among the people. Reportedly some seniors are questioning Revanth’s intention behind this announcement. “Whom did Revanth consult before announcing Seethakka’s name?” questioned a senior Congress leader.
Irrespective of this, Revanth is making his own mark in Telangana Congress.
