Having completed his Vaarahi yatra in the twin Godavari districts, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would head to Tirupati district on Monday. Pawan has decided to lodge a complaint with the SP against CI Anju Yadav who slapped one of their party activists, Sai, in Srikalahasti.
The CI manhandled the Jana Sena activist during the party’s recent protest in Srikalahasti. On July 12, the Jana Sena cadre staged a demonstration in Srikalahasti protesting against YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on their party boss, during which the cops tried to obstruct them. During the protest, the CI manhandled JS activist Sai. Reportedly, Yadav slapped Sai and this created a furore among the JS cadre.
Considering this seriously, Pawan would lodge a plaint with the SP on the incident. It is pertinent to note that TDP politburo member Varla Ramaiah had lodged a complaint with the DGP Rajendranath Reddy against CI Anju Yadav soon after the incident. Further, Ramaiah said that the high-handed behavior of a few of the police officers was bringing disrepute to the entire department. The TDP leader alleged that Anju Yadav was behaving like a puppet in the hands of the ruling party.
Pawan launched his Vaarahi Yatra on June 14 with the sole aim of throwing the YCP out of power. Pawan completed two phases of his yatra. From June 14 to June 30, he toured in the united East Godavari district and from July 9 to July 14, he campaigned in the united West Godavari district. During the yatra, he lambasted the YCP government for its misgovernance and discrepancies. He vociferously protested against the YCP’s atrocities and anarchy. Pawan’s remarks against the volunteers created a furore in the state. The volunteers took to streets after PK blamed them for human trafficking. “We have information that around 30,000 women had been missing,” he said. Soon, the State Women Commission also issued notices to Pawan Kalyan for making baseless allegations.
