Jana Sena Is Our Ally: Purandeswari Confirms

Published by

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan making it to the BJP’s allies meeting in New Delhi has cleared the air that the two parties are in alliance in Andhra Pradesh. AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeshwari reiterated the same and added that very soon she will meet Pawan Kalyan and hold discussions.

However Purandeshwari did not react to Pawan’s comments that Jana Sena and BJP might contest the next elections in AP in association with Telugu Desam. On INDIA, the new coalition, Purandeshwari opined that parties that have individual ideologies have teamed up and such associations would not last long.

And yet again Purandeshwari came down heavily on the YCP government. “The AP government’s total debts stand at Rs 7.14 Lakh crore including Rs 2.65 Lakh crore made by the previous government. These are official figures and unofficial debts could be higher. The YCP government should release a white paper on state debts,” demanded Purandeshwari.

Accusing the YCP government of harassing contractors, Purandeshwari said that the AP government owes Rs 71,000 crore to private contractors. “From liquor, AP government earned Rs 8300 crore and from its original revenue sources, AP is making Rs 90,000 crore. From the Centre, the state is getting Rs 35,000 in the form of devolution. Besides these numbers, the state government is paying 40 percent of revenues towards interest on the debts.

Right after taking charge as chief, Purandeshwari is continuously targeting the YCP government and on alliance, she is clear that BJP will travel with Pawan Kalyan.
