In a recent incident inside the Parliament house, YCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju (RRR) faced a threatening situation from Vizag MP MVV Satyanarayana. RRR has a tradition of distributing Tirupati Laddu to fellow MPs on the first day of each Parliament session. During the Monsoon session’s commencement, RRR brought a package of Laddus to share with others.
However, when Vizag MP MVV Satyanarayana encountered RRR, he began verbally abusing him. The reason behind the altercation was that MVV’s family had been kidnapped a few days prior, and Narsapuram MP had taken the initiative to write to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, requesting protection for MVV’s family.
Instead of showing gratitude, MP MVV expressed anger at RRR for taking this action without consulting him. He warned RRR about interfering in matters concerning his family and threatened him with dire consequences, even going as far as saying he would harm him.
The situation escalated, but MP Midhun Reddy stepped in and separated the two MPs. However, the altercation did not go unnoticed, and other MPs were surprised and disappointed by the behavior displayed by both RRR and MVV.
This incident reflects poorly on the self-respect and decorum of our MPs in the eyes of their fellow Parliamentarians. Such behavior is a matter of concern and calls for greater responsibility and respect among our elected representatives.
