On 9th of this month Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was in Eluru and addressing the public, he accused that the volunteer system brought by the YCP government is resulting in human trafficking, especially since thousands of women have gone missing in the last four years.
Pawan Kalyan’s statements created uproar in the state and volunteers across the state have staged a protest against Jana Sena and their party’s chief. The YCP government too reacted and demanded an apology from Pawan but the Jana Sena supremo did not withdraw his comments.
With no response from Pawan, the YCP government has decided to file a defamation case against the Jana Sena boss. Accordingly, special chief secretary of AP government, Ajay Jain has issued G.O. number 16 initiating a defamation case against Pawan under 1973 criminal procedure code.
In a day or two, the AP government will knock the AP High Court with the order number 16 and the formalities would follow.
Apparently this defamation case would only benefit Pawan Kalyan because he cited central government agencies data in the allegations he made. But he needs to clarify his allegations in detail in order to defend himself before the court.
We shall wait and see how Pawan Kalyan will respond to the defamation suit but the Jana Sena legal team is ready to fight out with the YCP.
