Union Minister Kishan Reddy took charge as Telangana BJP chief earlier in the day. The swearing in ceremony was held in a grand style and all the prominent BJP leaders graced the occasion. However, former MP Vijayashanthi left the event early and the media widely reported about this incident.
As the news spread, Vijayashanthi took to social media and clarified about her early exit. Apparently Vijayashanthi left the event because of the presence of the last Chief Minister of erstwhile AP, Kiran Kumar Reddy.
“I did make it to the event and congratulated Kishan Reddy. But I was a little uncomfortable sharing the stage with a person who severely opposed separate Telangana and tried his best to wipe out the agitation using his muscle power,” tweeted Vijayashanthi.
Though Vijayashanthi did not mention the name of Kiran Kumar Reddy, it was directly meant for him. This is evident that Vijayashanthi still holds the grudge against Kiran Kumar who did factually oppose separate Telangana and went on to resign to his CM chair after the AP Bifurcation bill was passed in the Parliament.
