Political parties in both the Telugu states are in dearth of catchy slogans for the upcoming elections. The catchy slogans are aimed at attracting the electorate towards the political parties, which ultimately should help them clinch power.
During the last elections, TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu banked on “Vastunna Mee Kosam” while the YCP called upon the people to vote for the party through “Ravali Jagan-Kavali Jagan”. And in 2014 elections #BringBackBabu is a popular slogan on social-media then.
This time, all the political parties in both the parties are facing a shortage of thoughtful slogans to influence the electorate. The leaders are of the opinion that if the previous slogans, though used with minor modifications, would not have much impact on the voters, as the public could get quite bored.
It is learnt that the TDP supremo had assigned the task of coining catchy slogans to the I-TDP, which designed the Yuva Galam but could not complete the actual assignment given by their boss.
However, the YCP, with the help of their political consultant I-PAC, readied some slogans like “Jagananne Maa Nammaka”, “Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagan”, and “Why Not 175” which had already been used by the party.
Now, the political parties, it is learnt, are fumbling for better slogans. They are ready to spend lakhs on the slogans. There is talk that many leaders had been calling up their followers and asking them for new party slogans.
In Telangana too, there is a demand for the catchy slogans. The leaders, during their personal interaction and party meetings, are reportedly conversing about the same issue. It has to be seen which parties would be successful in getting their slogans readied by the time campaigning would really gain momentum.
