The alliance between BJP and Jana Sena has been a topic of uncertainty until the recent appointment of Purandeshwari as the AP BJP chief. Following her assumption of the role, Purandeshwari reaffirmed that BJP and Jana Sena are indeed in an alliance, and they will jointly contest the upcoming AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the question of the Chief Minister candidate for the alliance, Purandeshwari clarified that the decision would be made by the BJP high command. She emphasized her role in strengthening the party in the state and carrying out any tasks assigned by the high command, rather than focusing on personal aspirations.
Purandeshwari also stated her willingness to contest from any constituency in the state, be it for the Assembly or Lok Sabha, if the BJP leadership asks her to do so. Her primary focus remains on fighting against the state government’s anti-public policies and working towards the growth of the party.
As for any alliance with Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Purandeshwari made it clear that decisions pertaining to new alliances would be handled by the party leadership in Delhi.
While the suspense on the BJP-Jana Sena alliance’s CM candidate continues, many anticipate that it will likely be Pawan Kalyan, given his familiarity and prominence as a prominent face associated with both parties.
