Telangana PCC chief, Revanth Reddy, has gone missing as tensions escalate over the handling of heavy rains in the state. Revanth Reddy called for a seizure of the GHMC office, urging Telangana Congress party workers to protest against the government’s alleged failure to manage the relief efforts.
In response, the ruling BRS party retaliated by putting up posters targeting Revanth Reddy. The posters read, “Malkajgiri MP Missing,” and highlighted previous instances of heavy rains in Hyderabad in 2020 and 2023.
The BRS party’s social media has actively shared these posters, leading to widespread trolling of Revanth Reddy. BRS leaders have questioned his absence and criticized his call to seize the GHMC office. They argue that natural calamities require the government’s efforts to ensure no loss of life, and the state government is fully committed to supporting the people during these challenging times.
In the wake of the escalating tensions, tight security measures have been implemented at the GHMC office, with the police arresting several Congress activists who attempted to storm inside. The situation remains tense as political bickering continues amidst the ongoing crisis caused by heavy rains in Hyderabad.
