The YCP leaders slammed TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu for abetting corruption. They alleged that Naidu tried to shield many financial fraudsters during his regime. They alleged that the TDP government protected several politicians involved in money laundering and illegal businesses, including Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh, Nama Nageswara Rao, JC Brothers, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao.
Following the ED raids on Rayapati’s office and houses simultaneously on Tuesday, the ruling party leaders reminded that Sambasiva Rao siphoned off Rs 9,394 crore loans from nearly 13 banks. The ED sleuths identified that all the money was transferred to shell companies and then moved to Singapore illegally through Rao’s Transstroy company.
Naidu was surrounded by financial criminals throughout his regime, the YCP leader said, adding that the hallmark of Naidu’s companionship was ‘betrayal’. Naidu himself is a betrayer who backstabbed his own father-in-law, they reminded.
Further, they said that Naidu tried to get rid of all the politicians involved in embezzling funds by advising them to join the BJP. The YCP men also alleged that all the money earned through illegal means was later spent in the following elections. By spending during elections, the financial criminals could prove their loyalty to Naidu, but will they be able to pay off the money siphoned off the public, they asked.
