Addressing a roadshow at Kadiri in Satya Sai Baba district, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu hit back at Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s accusation of him being a ‘backstabber.’ Naidu countered by stating that the people know who the real ‘betrayer’ is, especially after Y.S. Sharmila, Jagan’s sister, was denied property rights. He emphasized that Jagan’s treatment of his own sister speaks volumes about his credentials as a leader.
During the public meeting, Naidu warned the people against voting for Jagan, claiming that doing so would lead to betrayal. He also brought up the unfortunate murder of Jagan’s uncle, Viveka, and challenged Jagan to answer Viveka’s daughter Sunita’s questions about her father’s death.
Naidu questioned Jagan about Sharmila’s equal rights in YSR’s property and accused him of not fulfilling his promise to offer her an MP seat. Referring to Sharmila as “Jagananna vadilina baanam.. daari tappina baanam,” Naidu questioned how Jagan could point fingers at him when he himself had betrayed his own sister.
The TDP supremo concluded his speech by urging the voters to make a wise decision during the upcoming Assembly elections. He hinted that showing sympathy towards Sharmila might help him in his political endeavors.
Only time will decide whether Sharmila would fight against Jagan in the upcoming elections or confine herself to Telangana. The unfolding political drama between the siblings and Naidu’s strategic moves will undoubtedly shape the dynamics of the upcoming elections.
