CM Jagan’s visit to the flood-affected Alluri Sitaramaraju, Eluru and Konaseema districts on Monday and Tuesday drew a lot of attention. CM Jagan arrived at ASR district and interacted with the victims in Kunavaram, AR Puram and Vadara Mandals. During this, an interesting conversation took place. CM Jagan told the government officials that he was there not to point out anyone. He instead said he came to appreciate the efforts and hard work of the public servants.
However, CM Jagan stated that all the systems – from the Grama Sachivalayam to the volunteers system – have been activated to ensure the problems of the flood-affected families are acted upon. He said he directed the officials to provide the basic daily needs to the flood-affected families along with a financial assistance of Rs 2000 per each family immediately. He asked the victims to bring to his notice if any family didn’t get the assistance.
CM Jagan said the government officials have been given a week’s time to reach out to every victim’s family and to provide help to the flood-affected victims. CM said he didn’t come and take pictures immediately after the floods and leave. He said he gave time for the officials to act upon and he came a week later to meet the victims. He ordered the officials to not differentiate between partially-affected and fully-affected families and asked them to offer the same benefits to all the families. He said the YSRCP government puts people and their needs first. He said his government doesn’t give importance to money rather than the public interest. CM assured to return a week later to recheck the works done by the officials. He cautioned the officials for a strict punishment if the people’s problems are not addressed. CM Jagan’s visit has garnered good response from the people.
Tonight, CM Jagan is going to stay at Rajamahendravaram R&B Guest house. Tomorrow, CM will visit Gurajapulanka in Mummidivaram mandal of Konaseema district, Tanelanka Ramalayampet village and Thotraamudivaripet in Ainavilli mandals to meet the flood victims. CM Jagan will return to the Tadepalli residence by tomorrow afternoon.
