Countering the TDP’s role behind the trending of #TeluguPeopleWithRamojiRao on X.com since morning, the YCP leaders made a scathing attack against Telugu media baron Ramoji Rao on the micro-blogging platform with #ScamsterRamoji.
TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu and party scion N. Lokesh also lambasted YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party cadre for targeting the octogenarian who protected the fourth pillar of democracy by exposing misgovernance and corruption in the administration through his Eenadu newspaper.
Soon YCP leaders and elected representatives also took to the social media platform and began registering their tirade against Naidu and Ramoji Rao which led to trending of #ScamsterRamoji on X.com. By evening, this campaign gained traction with many netizens also backing the YCP leaders.
YCP leaders who participated in the X campaign include minister Kodali Nani, MP Nandigam Suresh, minister Jogi Ramesh, MLAs Dr Seediri Appalaraju, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, Padmavathy Jonnalagadda, Srinivasa Reddy Gopireddy, MLC KRJ Bharath, and others.
Former minister Kodali Nani said that the actual villain behind the back-stabbing of TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao and making Naidu the CM was Ramoji Rao. Similarly, Naidu also helped Ramoji by eliminating all business firms posing threat to the latter’s entities.
Other YCP leaders pointed out that the CID probe revealed that Margadarsi Chit Funds, run by Ramoji Rao, was involved in illegal diversion of funds collected from the depositors.
Padmavathy termed Ramoji as ‘Raabandu’ and predicted that he would face a tragic end in the coming days.
“Ramoji Rao assumed that he is above the democracy and had been organizing the Chit Fund firm as he wished, violating all the rules. Now, when the CID had exposed the truth, he is trying to escape the blame by acting as a bed-ridden patient. While Ramoji is A1 in the Margadarsi Chit Fund case, his daughter-in-law Cherukuri Sailaja is A2. Till now, the depositors thought that Ramoji was just diverting their funds illegally, in violation of rules but recently deciphered that he was cheating them in the name of ghost subscribers.”
At the same time, the YCP leaders faulted the TDP top brass for supporting Ramoji Rao publicly, even while knowing clearly that he had diverted the funds accumulated through chit deposits to his firms and failed to pay back the money to the depositors.
All the YCP leaders posted their tweets and took a swipe at both Ramoji and the Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu.
