YCP leader Posani Krishna Murali asked the Amaravati farmers to give their consent to donate at least one cent of their land pooled for building the capital, to the poor. If you would accept that, I am ready to give away all my assets and property to the poor, he said.
In his usual style, he faulted the farmers for blindly following the diktat of a ‘kamma leader’, indirectly pointing at the TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu. Following his directions, the farmers are unnecessarily abusing the Reddys, he said. “It is clear shame. Why are you wishing that YCP president and CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should be ruined?”
“Jagan is serving the people and then, why should you wish that he should not win. He is giving pension to even Kammas and Reddys. Many rich people are also taking these pensions,” he pointed out.
Posani said that he was facing threat to his life from TDP scion N. Lokesh Babu. “Because I am putting all his bad deeds and words before the public, he wants to kill me. If I am dead by chance, it is only due to Lokesh Babu,” he said.
“I love Jagan for his attitude, character and behavior. I am not one such person who easily falters for money. Remember that.”
At the same time, Posani also tried to tarnish the image of Lokesh by showing clippings of the TDP scion wherein he used indecent language, even as their party senior leaders claimed that they were more disciplined and well-mannered than the YCP counterparts.
He also showed photos in which Lokesh was seen in a fun mood with half-naked girls and asked the public to judge by themselves, the character of the TDP scion.
All these stunts before the elections are aimed at creating negative feelings about the TDP leaders among the electorate, said political analysts.
In the wake of such negative publicity, it has to be seen how the voters would get influenced and exercise their franchise in the polls.
