4 More MLAs To Follow Me: TDP’s Defected MLA

Published by

The other day Vizag – south constituency MLA Vasupalli Ganesh met AP CM YS Jagan and extended his support to the YSRCP. MLA Ganesh’s sons have formally joined the ruling party and then the MLA welcomed Vizag as the Executive Capital.

Today Ganesh revealed an interesting update that there are four more MLAs from TDP who are with him and in the coming days, they too will quit the party and support YCP. However Ganesh did not reveal the names of the MLAs who are looking to jump from TDP.

MLA Ganesh also reacted to TDP leaders’ comments for not resigning before joining hands with Jagan. “TDP has all the rights to use the ‘Anti-Defection’ law. If they invoke the law in the Assembly, I’m ready to resign and in the by-election, if Jagan gives an opportunity, I’m ready to contest again. Even if Jagan doesn’t give me ticket, I will happily work for the victory of YCP,” said Ganesh.

The first time MLA who had been in TDP for nearly 13 years, said for 16 months he had spent sleepless nights in TDP and even faced abuses for welcoming Vizag as executive capital.

“In a survey, Vizag got maximum votes for the capital city. But then this survey was manipulated and the results showed that Krishna and Guntur districts were favourable for the capital city. When I questioned regarding the same in the TDLP meeting, I was humiliated,” said Ganesh.

These statements depict MLA Ganesh has been waiting for the right time to leave TDP and was patient all the time being in the party.

But as said by Ganesh himself, if four MLAs quit TDP, then Chandrababu Naidu will lose the opposition leader status.
