Telangana Minister Teases AP On Power Crises

Telangana minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has criticised Andhra Pradesh leaders for ridiculding the Telangana region and its shortcomings when the state was united. “Now, everything is reverse. Telangana is progressing and AP is regressing,” he said.

“Now, people are drying their clothes on the power wires in Andhra Pradesh.”

Addressing a public meeting, Errabelli reminded that former chief ministers of united Andhra Pradesh N. Kiran Kumar, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and N. Chandrababu Naidu made insulting statements against Telangana.

In the Assembly, they asked why were Telangana political leaders fighting for a separate state while the power lines in the region can be used only to dry clothes, which meant there was a lot of power shortage in the area.
YSR termed Telangana a desert.

Chandrababu Naidu said: “Hundreds of acres can be bought selling just one acre in Andhra Pradesh.”
“Now, the conditions have changed. Telangana people can buy hundreds of acres in AP with the money they get selling just one acre in their state,” Errabelli claimed.

These statements by Errabelli could trigger a row between both the Telugu states as the YCP men would take objection to the remarks, which reflect the poor administration of their party boss and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

It may be recalled that ministers Harish Rao and KTR also flayed Jagan’s rule in Andhra Pradesh by saying that AP citizens should take ration cards in Telangana and roads were in the worst shape in that state, respectively.
