Minister Kodali Nani’s comments on Tirumala declaration row, Hindu temples and PM Narendra Modi have kicked up a massive uproar as BJP and right-wing leaders have declared war on Nani. BJP leader Vishuvardhan Reddy has demanded CM Jagan to remove Nani from his cabinet with immediate effect.
Accusing Nani of hurting the sentiments of Hindu community, BJP’s state general secretary Vishnuvardhan said BJP won’t compromise and won’t spare such comments. He questioned how can a minister make such ‘derogatory’ comments on one community and their Gods, Temples. He said BJP would not tolerate such acts.
Meanwhile, the Saffron party has launched a state-wide protests against Nani’s critical comments. BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded unconditional apology from Nani and asked him to retract his comments. They have demanded CM Jagan to take a stern action against Nani and show him the door.
Opposition leaders have also criticised Nani’s severe remarks. BJP, TDP leaders have come down heavily on Nani. Since TDP has been raising its voice against minister Nani’s ‘harsh comments’, it is the right opportunity for the party to escalate the voice further. However, BJP is so serious on the issue and is leading the protest. BJP’s target is minister Nani and the party made it clear that it won’t rest till Nani loses his ministry.
Meanwhile, Guru Swami Paripoornanda has condemned Nani’s comments and asked him how he can make comments on one particular community. Paripoornanda said that a responsible minister should ensure the peace and harmony between the communities whereas minister Nani in turn is creating the rift and making such ‘demeaning’ comments on such a sensitive issue.
He added that there is no need for a debate on TTD ‘Declaration’ at Tirumala as it has been prepared thoroughly only after going through 43 key points. He reiterated that there is nothing wrong if CM Jagan gives a declaration at Tirumala. He said Jagan should follow former president APJ Abdul Kalam.
Swami Pairpoornanda said that key Swamijis will assemble and discuss after Covid and will soon announce an action plan in this regard of Tirumala declaration and the future course of action.
