Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy won the appreciation of Nobel laureate Prof Michale Robert Kremer for the excellent planning and implementation of schemes in the education sector. Prof. Kremer lauded Jagan for the transformation he brought about in the education wing.
The YCP cadre was elated with the foreign professor showering praises on the administration of their government in Andhra Pradesh.
During his recent visit to Andhra Pradesh, the economics professor in Chicago University said that the CM was taking care of the students like his own children.
Jagan had taken interest in every minute detail concerning the students pursuing academics in government schools, from their footwear to bags, toilets and their meals. Various schemes like Amma Vodi, Goru Mudda, Vidya Kanuka were also being implemented without any break, even when the state is in dire straits.
Kremer, who is also the director of the Development Innovation Lab in the foreign university, visited a few government schools in the state.
The extraordinary care and efforts being put in to provide modern facilities and infrastructure impressed the foreign faculty member. “The extra attention being paid by the government towards school students is really worth appreciating. Such facilities and efforts will lead to the mental wellbeing and growth of the children, which will help them become responsible citizens in the future,” Prof. Kremer said.
The effort of teachers is visible in the progress of the students, the Nobel Laureate added.
