Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest has shaken the TDP. Chandrababu might have anticipated his arrest, however, even he didn’t expect the manner in which he was arrested and the bail was denied.
As Naidu is A-37 in the skill development scam case and all the prior accused got the bail, Naidu didn’t anticipate the judicial remand. The turn of events and political consequences have shocked the TDP cadre as well. TDP is in a mini-crisis. In this backdrop, the absence of Naidu should be made void by the equally significant and tall leader who should lead the party from the front.
Buzz is the discussion of Nandamuri Vs Nara is back within the party. It is strongly rumoured that differences developed between Balayya and Lokesh on who will lead the party during the protests. Balayya called for a high-level meeting with the party’s senior leaders including the likes of Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.
Balayya called for the protests to fight against the state government. The other day Balayya’s media conference was held at Managalagiri’s party office which is also an indication that Balayya is taking the mantle. Lokesh is currently in Rajahmundry. He is also called for a media conference. This is now adding fuel to the ongoing rumours that there are differences between Lokesh and Balayya. When Senior leaders are inclining towards Balayya, many young leaders are looking towards Lokesh.
Speculations are rife that all is not really well between Balayya and Nara Lokesh. However, TDP leaders are vehemently denying any such rumours. They are quashing the rumours and clarifying that these are part of YSRCP’s conspiracy to weaken the TDP. TDP leaders are maintaining that the party and its senior leaders are united in this crisis and the party would sail through this phase and come out with flying colours.
