In a significant political development in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan announced the TDP and Janasena alliance in 2024 general election. Pawan made a formal announcement outside Rajahmundry Central Prison after holding meeting Chandrababu in jail during the 45-minute-long Mulaqat. Pawan joined by TDP leaders Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nara Lokesh. The trio addressed the media. Pawan said he came forward to express his support to Naidu. Condemning Naidu’s arrest, Pawan described it was due to “political vengeance”. He said it is the need of hour to stop YSRCP’s high-handedness and anarchy politics. Pawan stated that Andhra Pradesh can’t afford YSRCP. He said all like-minded parties should join forces to combat YCP in the state.
Pawan reiterated that he would not allow anti-YSRCP vote to be split. Pawan said, “So far I had only thought about TDP and Janasena alliance. Today I’ve decided and announcing the alliance of TDP and Janasena who will be fighting together in the coming elections. This is not for the future of TDP or Janasena. It is for the future of Andhra Pradesh state.” In an appeal to Janasena leaders and activists, Pawan asked them to observe the developments in the state and support his move.
Pawan vowed to eradicate YSRCP rule in the state. He heaped praises on Chandrababu who was part of the growth story of Hyderabad and the architect of Cyberabad. Pawan said Jagan is a financial criminal whereas Chandrababu is a seasoned politician. Pawan went onto share his share of ordeals during Jagan’s rule and how he was politically obstructed due to Jagan-led government. Pawan alleged YSRCP of hiring goondas and rowdies to stop him during his Vaarahi Yatra. Pawan mentioned about the problems he had faced in Konaseema. He also cautioned YSRCP to not repeat such in future.
