Kapus To Sacrifice Major Share With Alliance?

Published by

After ‘Mulaqat’ with Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan announced the TDP – Janasena party’s alliance in the coming elections. Pawan openly appealed to Janasena leaders and cadres to understand the prevailing circumstances and conditions in the state. He said the move was necessitated with the sudden arrest of Chandrababu. Condemning the arrest, Pawan said Jagan should be dethroned and that is the major objective of the alliance and to put back the state on the progress path.

In this backdrop, the political situation is such that several aspirants in Janasena would have to lose their seats as part of the alliance with the TDP. Particularly, the situation in the Godavari districts – East and West Godavari districts where Janasena has major aspirants owing to the base the party has among Kapu community. Kapus have a strong hold in the Godavari districts. So, this is a shocker to several Kapu leaders in Janasena who have to forcibly sacrifice their seats as part of the alliance.

Not just the seats, if TDP – Janasena alliance comes to power in 2024, several leaders of Janasena have to give up the nominated posts to the TDP which will expect a bigger pie in the posts as well. Keeping this in mind, TDP and Janasena’s core teams have to plan accordingly to balance the seats and nominated posts.

Since Pawan Kalyan already announced that the alliance is not a political decision and it is purely meant for the state’s development and defeating Jagan, one has to wait and see what will be the final reaction of several Janasainiks.
