Arrest At AP – Telangana Burst

Published by

Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in Andhra Pradesh creating tremors in Telangana. While Naidu was arrested in AP allegedly in connection with the Skill Development Scam case, the heat of Naidu’s arrest is felt in Hyderabad and Bengaluru metro cities where software crowds are in large numbers.

Naidu may not be the ‘architect of software industry’ in India as claimed by the TDP, but Naidu has vastly contributed to the development of software industry resulting in employment of so many IT professionals and growth of techies. Chandrababu’s role is pivotal. Chandrababu has put Hyderabad on the global map and brought the likes of Bill Clinton, Bill Gates to the city. Naidu had played an instrumental role in the Outer Ring Road and establishing the International Airport too. None other than Hyd IT minister KTR too had admitted and mentioned Naidu’s role in developing the IT sector in Hyderabad and lauded his work publicly. Even CM KCR had acknowledged Chandrababu’s work behind IT progress.

All these are now resulting in the protests and demonstrations in Hyderabad and Bangalore. The major heat is in Hyd where the population of AP people is significant as well. A car rally was called by the TDP on the ORR protesting against CBN’s arrest in AP. Earlier, the incidents of protests at Wipro circle and KPHB colony turned out to be intense where cops had intervened. Even the ORR rally was obstructed by the Telangana police stating that it has no permission. Now, several protests against Chandrababu’s arrest are likely to spread to different parts of Telangana. The active protests are increasing day-by-day in the support of Chandrababu in Telangana.

One has to consider the fact that the TDP had a very strong base in Telangana which was seen as its bastion. Several people in Telangana still have great respect for Naidu and his work for them in the united state of AP.

So, naturally many are expressing sympathy and solidarity towards Chandrababu’s family over his arrest. All these may turn into a headache to the ruling BRS party ahead of elections. As elections in Telangana are fast-approaching, this is certainly an unwanted headache. On one hand, BRS is fighting with the Congress in the state and on the other hand, the BRS is locking horns with the BJP at national-level. Amidst this, TDP and Chandrababu’s arrest row may irk KCR and BRS.
