YCP rebel MP Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy made some sensational remarks ahead of the Assembly elections.
He forecast that the Jana Sena-TDP coalition would win 160 out of the total 175 MLA seats in Andhra Pradesh, in the upcoming 2024 Assembly elections.
Further, he said that there would be 57% voting. “Mark my words as they will become true just like during earlier elections,” he said.
The MLA said that his predictions during the previous elections too had proven correct and reminded that in 2019, he had told Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy the YCP would emerge victorious winning more than 130 MLA seats.
In 2017, during the Nandyal bypolls, he claimed that he had told Jagan that the TDP would register victory securing 30,000 majority but he told me that the YCP would win with 5000 majority. Kotamreddy’s word came true as TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy secured 97,000 votes while his rival, YSRC candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy garnered 69,610 votes and the TDP leader won with a majority of 30,000 votes.
In 2014, Sridhar Reddy said that he had predicted the victory of the TDP and told about the same to YCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who is currently the YCP government advisor.
Going back further, the YCP rebel MP claimed that he had told former CM late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy that the Congress would win the 2009 elections due to the launch of the Praja Rajyam Party by thespian Chiranjeevi.
“In 2004 too, I could foresee the victory of the Congress and during the previous elections in 1999, I predicted that the TDP would win the Assembly elections,” he said.
Now, it has to be seen how far Kotamreddy’s statements would materialise, even as he is expected to quit the YCP and join the TDP forces for the next elections.
