BRS leaders and the Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR, have maintained differing responses regarding the arrest of TDP leader and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. KCR chose to remain silent on the matter, while BRS Working President and Minister KTR commented that they were not obliged to involve themselves in the affairs of the neighboring state. This stance surprised many, as it was initially anticipated that the BRS party would not publicly react to Babu’s arrest.
However, individual reactions from BRS MLAs to Babu’s arrest have sparked discussions. Additionally, the participation of BRS leaders in rallies against Babu’s arrest has become a prominent topic of conversation.
Several BRS MLAs, including Sandra Venkata Veeraiah from Satthupally and Arekapudi Gandhi from Serilingampally, have expressed their condemnation of Chandrababu’s arrest. They criticized the ruling YCP in Andhra Pradesh and the BJP government at the Centre in their statements. Minister Mallareddy also recently criticized Babu’s arrest. Furthermore, BRS leaders’ participation in rallies supporting Babu in various locations like Khammam, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, and Kodada has caught attention.
While the party leader, KCR, has remained silent on the matter, leaders from the BRS party have reacted to Chandrababu’s arrest. It’s worth noting that within the BRS party, there are many TDP leaders. However, there’s a prevailing sentiment that KCR’s approval is crucial for any actions taken by the BRS leaders. The actions and reactions of BRS leaders regarding Babu’s arrest are expected to be communicated to or approved by KCR.
Therefore, there are suspicions that KCR is likely informed about the reactions of the leaders regarding Babu’s arrest in advance, and it is speculated that he may be discussing this matter indirectly with his party leaders.
