TDP scion Nara Lokesh alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was planning to get his father and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu killed in the Rajahmundry Central Jail, where he has been lodged for the last 10 days. He expressed concern over the increasing mosquito menace in the jail.
Taking to X, Lokesh expressed doubt that psycho Jagan was trying to end Naidu’s life by lodging him in the Central jail which does not have adequate security and other facilities.
“Naidu was arrested in an evidence-less case and Jagan’s government is ‘hatching a conspiracy’ to cause harm to Naidu’s life by ensuring that he does not get a bail. There is no proper protection from mosquitoes. There is no security to Naidu’s life. One of the jail inmates, Ganjeti Veeravenkata Satyanarayana, belonging to Dowleswaram in Rajahmundry Rural mandal, died of dengue. There are plans to get Naidu also killed in the same way. If anything untoward happens to Naidu, then Jagan should be held responsible,” he tweeted.
Apart from Lokesh, many other party leaders also feared that there was a threat to their party boss’ life in the jail.
Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari and his daughter-in-law Brahmani, after meeting Naidu during ‘mulakath’ too raised the issue of mosquito menace in the jail. Being an aged person, Naidu could easily be affected by vector-borne diseases which could prove fatal, Bhuvaneswari said.
Former minister and TD politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu also expressed dissatisfaction over the unhygienic surroundings and the negligence of the jail staff in ensuring proper care to Naidu in the prison.
