In a dramatic turn of events, the ACB court in Vijayawada has delivered a startling decision, granting a two-day CID custody for TDP chief Chandrababu in connection with the skill scam case.
This ruling has brought an end to the palpable anticipation surrounding the case. The judge has mandated that Chandrababu will undergo interrogation in Rajahmundry Central Jail tomorrow, commencing from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Furthermore, the CID officials have been instructed to present Chandrababu in court once the investigation is concluded.
Initially, the CID had sought a three-day custody, but after two days of intense deliberation, the court sanctioned a two-day custody period. During the proceedings, the judge inquired about the location of Chandrababu’s interrogation. The CID officials confirmed that the interrogation will take place within Rajahmundry Jail. The court has allowed for the trial to proceed with the presence of two lawyers.
Additionally, the CID officials have been directed to submit a sealed report detailing the progress of the investigation. It has been emphasized that the list of investigating officers, as well as any related videos and photos, should not be disclosed.
In a parallel development, it has come to light that the CID officials have filed a petition in the Vijayawada ACB court, seeking CID custody for Chandrababu in connection to the Amaravati Inner Ring Road Alignment case.
