Telangana Minister KTR made surprising comments regarding the protests organized by TDP supporters in response to the arrest of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. TDP members had organized protests globally, expressing their discontent with Naidu’s arrest. Particularly, IT employees in Hyderabad participated in rallies and demonstrations to voice their concerns. However, KTR’s comments diverged from the expectations of many.
KTR voiced that the protests should be held in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the disconnection between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh politics.
He warned that if rallies were to take place in Hyderabad, there could be disruptions in the IT corridor, potentially escalating into law and order issues. KTR referenced the history of the Telangana movement, highlighting that rallies were not allowed in the IT corridor even during those times.
He clarified that while individuals were entitled to express their opinions about Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest, the matter was essentially a dispute between two political parties and did not involve Telangana.
KTR questioned the necessity of holding rallies in Hyderabad, emphasizing the sensitive nature of the issue. He reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest was a legal matter, subject to the court’s jurisdiction, and the outcomes would be determined through due legal process.
Furthermore, KTR expressed that he maintained friendly relations with various political figures in Andhra Pradesh, underscoring that the situation did not signify a personal conflict between him and Andhra Pradesh.
