Ex Minister and TDP leader Bandaru Satyanarayana’s vulgar comments on minister Roja became the talk of the town in political circles. While there are mixed reactions from people and strong counters from YSRCP leaders, the AP women commission is looking into the matter to take serious action. Amidst all this, none other than Roja’s husband and filmmaker RK Selvamani has responded to the whole controversy.
Selvamani has sharply responded to Bandaru’s remarks and said they’re condemning such heinous and vulgar comments. Selvamani said it is high time to respond over such comments and said they’re prepared to move legally against Bandaru Satyanarayana.
Selvamani said the family usually don’t take political criticism and personal comments against Roja to heart. But he said this time it is too personal, assassinating her personal character and nature. When Selvamani was asked about Roja’s reaction to Bandaru’s comments, he said, “Even we didn’t expect such vulgar and demeaning comments.
Selavamani asked Bandaru to show the proof and reveal all the details. He said no need to hide and blackmail.
Interestingly, Selvamani recalled the association with Nandamuri Balakrishna. “I’m a filmmaker. Roja had acted with Balayya. I had visited the sets and we were in good terms with Balayya. Once I had seen Balayya’s daughter Brahmini on the film sets when she was a kid. I’ve told Roja to never cross the limits and target family. I even told Roja to not make any comments against Balayya.”
Selavamani’s response is simple yet sharp. He has not spared the TDP or even Roja. He took class to all the politicians who are crossing the limits and dragging the families into this bitter war of words. One should notice Selvamani’s point of view as well.
