Chandrababu Naidu’s open letter is widely circulated on social media platforms. TDP leaders are sharing it and showcasing it as their chief’s letter. The letter came out following Naidu’s meeting his family members at Mulaqat. The letter has touched upon several sensitive topics and also stated that justice may be delayed but justice will be served. Naidu expressed his confidence and faith in the judiciary. He also wished the Telugu people on the eve of Dasara festival.
Naidu’s letter from jail has hit the controversy. Responding to the circulated letter, Jail authorities have stepped in and condemned that the letter has no approval. They described it as a “pamphlet” but not a letter. Naidu is currently residing in the Sneha Block at Rajahmundry Central Jail. He is under judicial remand over the allegations of his role in the Skill Development case.
They said the “pamphlet” that is circulated as Chandrababu’s open letter is not examined by jail authorities or the respective court with the signature and seal of the jail. Hence jail authorities stated that it lacks authenticity.
Jail authorities have issued a public statement on CBN letter and released it to the media. The statement reads, “The pamphlet (letter) with Chandrababu’s signature was not issued from the jail. The pamphlet released with his signature has nothing to do with the jail. According to the jail rules, if any of the defendants want to release the signed letter, the said document will be thoroughly examined by the jail authorities and it will be verified by the jailer and sent to the relevant court or other government departments and family members with the signature and seal of the jail. Therefore, we inform you that Chandrababu’s letter has no connection with this prison,” stated Rajahmundry Central Prison authorities in a statement. This official statement of jail authorities is released to several newspapers and media houses.
Responding to the whole controversy, Nara Lokesh condemned the act of AP government. “Is writing a letter in Jagan Jamana also a betrayal of the country? Do the authorities not remember the prison rules when they take videos with a pen camera against the rules? He was imprisoned for 44 days for a mistake he did not make. He shared with us all the things he wanted to tell the people as part of the Mulaqat.”
“The release of a press statement by the police saying that even writing a letter out of fear of the palace orders is a crime, and the state is facing an emergency situation. Despite being confined between four walls, Jagan could not find a party. Finally, they are harassing him saying that he does not even have the right to write a letter,” said TDP national general secretary and Chandrababu’s son Nara Lokesh.
Each and every issue of Chandrababu is hitting the controversy and is garnering a lot of public attention. TDP is confident that sympathy will play out largely in the coming general elections in Andhra Pradesh.
