The BRS which is aiming for a hat-trick seems to be in a trouble following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks which in turn, is likely to create an advantageous position for the Congress.
Modi said that BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to join the NDA and this seems to have alienated the Muslim voters from the party. The last two times, Muslim voters had been on the BRS side which helped the party gain the majority.
There is buzz that the BRS is the B-party of the BJP. Now, with the BRS sharing cordial relations with the MIM, there is likelihood that the right wing approach associated with the BJP is likely to get transferred to the MIM also through the BRS. This talk is making the minorities think that all the three parties are working together for the upcoming elections.
Prime Minister Modi’s statement that the BRS chief met him and spoke to him about joining the NDA helped the rumours gain ground.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also been stating that the BRS is the B-team of the BJP, during his speeches. On the other hand, MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also been appealing the voters that they should vote for the BRS.
The talk that the BRS, BJP and MIM are having a tacit understanding is likely to show an impact on the voting pattern of the electorate in 40 constituencies.
