Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy Back To Congress, Quits BJP

With elections round the corner, political leaders in Telangana are busy thinking about their prospects and shifting their loyalties to fulfil their goals.

Former Congress leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy has returned to the Congress, resigning to the BJP. He would formally join the Congress in the presence of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge day-after-tomorrow.

Rajagopal Reddy said that Telangana people were wishing for a change in the government and that they were searching for a suitable alternative to the BRS.

As the BJP has lost its vigour in Telangana and the Congress seems to gaining popularity, he said that he has decided to move to the latter. The BJP has not grown as the right alternative to the BRS. He said that he had tendered his resignation under some inevitable circumstances and that he was shifting loyalties to the Congress, to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana public.
