It’s Crying Time… Politicians are too emotional!

Quite often we come across news regarding politicians turning teary-eyed in public. The primary reason for their sobbing was the denial of tickets to contest elections by their respective political parties. With different states across the country going to polls in the next few weeks, the dramatic emotional outbursts by our demagogues are back in the media.

As various political parties are busy finalising candidates who will be in the election fray, it is ‘Crying Time’ for those who were given a cold shoulder by the high command. Parties usually select candidates based on various criteria irrespective of their experience, performance, track record and other aspects because a crucial seat will be at stake based on their selection.

In this process, some high-profile and seasoned politicians may be overlooked by the parties. When the list of candidates gets released, those who were denied tickets will resort to so much drama. Some openly express their discontent, some deflect to other parties, some resign immediately and contest as independents, some work as coverts and finally some will copiously turn on the waterworks before the media.

In the last few days, many leaders from leading political parties like BJP, Congress, and some regional parties started venting their tears during media interactions. They start speaking about the sacrifices and hard work done by them for the party and even threaten to work against those who are given chance to contest in his place.

While the ardent followers and party cadre of these sobbing politicians blindly support and console them, common people feel that these politicians should carry such emotions to solve various burning issues when they are in power if they are really serious about serving the public.

As the elections are imminent in several States, public will witness more such emotions by our politicians..
