Andhra Pradesh’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) has registered a new case against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu.
This case pertains to allegations of granting “illegal permissions” to liquor companies in the state. Chandrababu Naidu has been named as accused number 3 in this case, and it falls under the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act. This marks the fourth case filed against Naidu by the CID.
Currently, Naidu is in judicial custody at the Rajamahendravaram central prison due to allegations of financial misappropriation involving the Skill Development Corporation.
In response to the new case registered against Chandrababu Naidu, TDP leaders have expressed their shock and alleged that the YCP government is pursuing a personal vendetta against Chandrababu. They argue that the government is consistently registering false cases against him.
Amidst all this, TDP and BJP leaders, including Purandeswari, have been raising their concerns on the state’s liquor policy and the quality of liquor available. They have raised concerns about these issues. In light of these efforts, the registration of yet another case against Chandrababu Naidu by the state government is seen by many as an attempt to divert attention from these critical matters, alleges TDP leaders.
