In a setback to the YCP government, the AP High Court had dismissed all conditions the CID wanted to be imposed on TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was released from Rajamahendravaram Central Jail after being arrested in connection with the Skill Development Case.
The court asked Naidu not to take part in any political rally and also not speak about the Skill Development case in the public.
All the remaining conditions which the CID had asked for have been set aside by the court. The CID wanted the court to impose the following five conditions:
- Naidu should not take part in any political activities during his bail period — this condition was agreed by the High Court with restriction on political rallies alone.
- Not to influence any of the witnesses in the Skill Development Case. In accordance with this, the court asked Naidu not speak about the case in the public.
- As the bail was granted on medical grounds, Naidu was asked to restrict his movement only to his house and hospital. This condition was dismissed by the court.
- The court asked Naidu’s counsels to file a counter to the government’s petition that two DSPs should provide escort to Naidu. Even this condition was set aside by the court.
- The court also made it clear that it would not interfere into the Centre’s orders over providing Z+ security to Naidu.
